The Essential phone is now finally here

The person who created Android is now back, but this time not with any other software like Android instead of that he has come up with a new smartphone known as the Essential phone.

The news regarding the official announcement of the phone came out via the Verge earlier today. The phone is a modular device which means that you can connect different modules with the phone via the metal pins that are present on the back of the device.

The device is having a 5.71inch bezel less display, Snapdragon 835 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory along with a 3,040mah battery.

Coming to the camera the device is having a 13MP rear and an 8MP front camera. The Essential phone is also having NFC support and is coming with Android 7.1.1 nougat out of the box.

When it comes to the design and the looks it is very similar to the Xiaomi Mi Mix as both the phones are having a ceramic back, metal on the sides and a bezel less display. But unfortunately the essential phone is lacking the presence of a headphone jack.

The phone is priced at $699 and is currently available for pre-orders in the US on their official website in two color options – White and black.
