Daydream VR update is rolling out now to the samsung galaxy S8 and S8 plus

Today Google has officially announced that they have started rolling out a new software update that brings the Daydream VR capabilities to the Samsung galaxy S8 and S8 plus. Some users got the update last week before the official announcement, but some users didn’t. The Samsung galaxy S8 and S8 plus are the first Samsung phones which are getting the daydream support.

The news break out via a tweet and a post on Google+ by the google VR team stating that the update is rolling out now to the Samsung galaxy S8 and S8 plus. The company’s VR team also mentioned that some users might not be seeing the update yet. The update allows you to use the Daydream VR headset to stream virtual reality content.

Both the Samsung galaxy S8 and S8 plus have been categorized as Daydream ready devices on Google’s Daydream official website. You can currently buy the Google Daydream VR headset for a price of $59 in the US much cheaper than the usual $79 price tag.
