Nokia 5 to be available in offline market only starting August 15

HMD Global has officially announced that the Nokia 5 will be available in India starting 15 August. Nokia 3, Nokia 5, and Nokia 6 were unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2027 earlier this year.

The device is having a 5.2inch HAD display with 1280×720 resolution, Snapdragon 430 chipset clocked at 1.4GHz, Adreno 540 GPU with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory expandable up to 128GB via micro SD card.

Coming to the camera the device is having a 13MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash and an 8MP front camera along with a 3,000mAh battery. The Nokia 5 will have Android nougat out of the box, the company has also guaranteed monthly security updates.

Ajay Mehta, Vice President of HMD Global India’s division said that “As a result of the sophistication in smartphone functionality and services, we spend more time than ever before on our phones. People today want something that fits in the palm of their hands and they want something that will go the distance. Nokia 5 is the ultimate pocketable phone at 5.2 inches with a very unique design”.

The device will be available at all top Mobile retail stores in India starting 15th August for a price of INR 12,499 ($195) in three colors – Matte Black, Tempered Blue, Silver, and Copper.

The device is also coming with a few offer’s such as Vodafone customers will get 5GB of Data for Rs. 149 with their purchase of the Nokia 5. Buyers will also get Rs. 2,500 off on MakeMyTrip.
